From our Observatory there is the option that photographers use their lens with the windows open. There are also two additional hydes placed inside the bird feeder, perfect to capture the birds flying off.
Mas de Bunyol is a vulture observatory built inside a Vulture Reserve. Visits to the bird observation centre are designed to coincide with the birds feeding time. Given the proximity to the scene, this provides a unique opportunity. The visit is once per day everyday of the year at the same hour. From the Observatory it is possible to watch hundreds of vultures at few meters distance while José Ramón, “buitreman”, feeds them.
Old Observatory placed in front of the current one. It gives an alternative perspective regarding the main one, closer to the Vultures and for capture a flying low plane. Of course, the comfort is not the same, but the proximity is maximum.
Mas de Bunyol is a restored country house, with an extraordinary characteristic which makes it unique in the world, it is placed inside a Wild Vulture Reserve. The observatory has been built over the house and it is used as viewpoint to watch vultures at the feeding time, providing an amazing sight of our iberian fauna. Its location, between Beceite and Valderrobres, makes it a privileged place.
